Waazn helps you see where your salary goes. This policy explains what the Waazn Android app, the Waazn Telegram and WhatsApp bot, and this website collect, and what we do with it.

SMS messages

With your permission, the app reads SMS from banks, wallets, buy-now-pay-later providers and billers. Each message is parsed on your phone. The full text of your messages is never uploaded. Messages from personal phone numbers are ignored and never read. One-time passwords, declined payments and promotional messages are filtered out on the phone.

What reaches our server

• Transaction amount and currency
• Merchant name and spending category
• Date and time
• Bank or provider name, account type and the last 4 digits of the card or account
• Available balance or limit, when the bank includes it
• Your language, payday and notification settings, and the chat account you link (Telegram or WhatsApp)

How we use it

Only to give you your own insights: spending by category, payday warnings, weekly reports, scores and answers to your questions. We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.

AI answers

When you ask the coach a question, a summary of your own transactions is sent to an AI model through OpenRouter to write the answer. We do not send your name, phone number or SMS text.

Waazn for business

If your employer gives you a company card on Waazn, the app reads only the bank messages for that registered company card, which you see and agree to in the app. Your personal cards, personal accounts and other messages are never read or sent. Your company sees the transactions on its own card, plus any reason or receipt you send about them, and nothing else about you.

Deleting your data

Type “delete my data” to the bot, or use Delete all in the app. This removes your data from your phone and from our server. Uninstalling the app stops all SMS reading.

Business enquiries and accounts

If you use the demo form on this site, we keep your name, company, work email and message to reply to you. For business accounts we also keep the company's details, the people it gives access to, and its invoices and payments. Card payments are handled by our payment provider, Polar; we never see or store card numbers.

Marketing

We send news and offers only to people who ticked the box to receive them, or who agreed in writing for their company. We choose who gets what from the details you gave us, such as your role, company, plan, industry and language. We never use the spending data read from SMS for marketing or advertising, and we never sell or share your details for others to market to you. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also reply to any email to stop them.

Security

Data is sent over HTTPS and stored on our own server. Access is limited to the Waazn team.
